COVID 19 policy – as of GMT 09:00 03rd July 2020

As you may be aware the Government have announced that as from the 4th July, Holiday Homes will be able to open.

It is our intention to begin holidays from that date where possible.

Your safety and well-being as well as that of our owners, housekeepers and their families is of paramount importance to us.


Preparing for your holiday in Cornwall:

Your safety and well-being as well as that of our owners, housekeepers, staff and their families is very important to us, now more than ever. In response to coronavirus we have carefully reviewed our housekeeping procedures and put a range of special measures in place. Please note the following:

Revised check-in and check-out time; To give housekeepers more time to clean and sanitise more safely check-in times will be 5.00pm and check-out times will be strictly 9:00am until further notice. The revised times will be clearly stated in your ‘pre booking’ emails but please look out for any last minute changes. Please do not ask to check in early.

Removal of non-essential items: Some difficult-to-clean and high-touch items will have been removed from your holiday home. These may include throws and cushions, games and toys, DVDs and other items that are non-essential. If there is any specific item or facility listed on our website that you have a question about, please contact us by email.

Welcome packs: Please accept our apology that there may be fewer niceties than usual in your welcome packs if any, for reasons of safety.

Provisions and shopping: We are expecting most of our local shops to be open, and we do want you to use them of course because we love you to support our Cornish retailers —  but do plan ahead to avoid wasting precious holiday time in queues and bring items that are currently in high demand with you.

Safer check-in: All of our holiday homes are fitted with key-safes so you can check-in more safely with no face-to-face meeting.

Anti-viral surface cleaning: The heavily used surfaces and high-touch items in your holiday home will be sanitised using appropriate products. Items include but are not limited to; work surfaces, table tops, remote controls, light switches and cord pulls, hair driers, door handles, appliances, key-safes, bathroom fittings. Some properties will also have been treated with Rapid 10 and other similar products. 

Safety during your stay: Please stay alert to coronavirus while on holiday, whether in your accommodation or out and about:

In the event of you or any member of your party displaying symptoms before you travel, please do not travel. In the event of one of your party displaying symptoms whilst in Cornwall the whole party should return safely home as soon as possible as per Government Guidelines. Any fees arising will need to be born by the guest.

  • Due to shortage of supplies of hand sanitiser and/or liquid soap please can you bring you own and use it frequently following Government guidelines.
  • Remember the hand sanitiser when you are out and about, wear face-masks if appropriate, and always follow the Government guidelines, which currently state no more than two households per property.

Safer check-out: When it’s time to go there are four essential things we need you to do for us. These will help to ensure the safety of our housekeepers, and the next guests:

  • Strip all your beds, include mattress and pillow protectors and seal the linen in the bags provided, along with all towels and tea towels. This includes linen and towels that you may not have used.
  • Empty all bins (not just the kitchen), bag, seal and put out all your own waste.
  • Leave on time by 9am — our hardworking housekeepers need every minute to prepare as safely as possible for the next guests.
  • Let us know if any of your party has experienced any symptoms of Covid-19 including high temperature or persistent cough.
