Cornish Vesper Martini Recipe from Tarquin’s Gin

Masterfully crafted on the wild north Cornwall coast, Tarquin’s Distillery produces some of the world’s best spirits. Alongside their iconic Gin and Rum spirits, Tarquin Leadbetter and his team have recently launched their very own Vodka, Connie Glaze Vodka, bringing a slice of Cornish sunshine to every glass.

As part of our 12 Days of Gifting Padstow giveaway on Facebook and Instagram, we’ve partnered with Tarquin’s Gin and Connie Glaze Vodka to giveaway a bottle of each to two lucky winners, and share a bespoke cocktail which expertly combines both spirits into one delicious recipe you’ll definitely want to try this Christmas, below.

Connie Glaze Vodka

Named after the incredible golden sand beaches of Constantine Bay and the crisp clean blue water of the Atlantic Ocean, Connie Glaze Vodka is slowly filtered through purified, golden sand at their craft distillery to give it the smoothest finish a vodka can have, with tasting notes like no other.

Tarquin’s Dry Gin

This is what Tarquin’s distillery is probably best known for, their contemporary take on a classic London dry gin. Distilled in a traditional copper pot with 12 botanicals sourced from across the globe and locally foraged on the wild Cornish coast, Tarquin’s Dry Gin is presented in a distinctive frosted glass bottle, finished with a dripping wax seal.

Vesper Martini Recipe

Said to be James Bond’s drink of choice – served “shaken, not stirred”, a Vesper Martini is comprised of three spirits. Tarquin’s easy-to-follow recipe below will have you sipping the festive season away in no time.

15ml Connie Glaze Vodka

10ml Vermouth (try one from nearby Knightor)

Lemon Twist

Cubed Ice

1. Add all your wet ingredients to an iced mixing glass

2. While most martinis are stirred, here we shake it up to open up the flavours, much like James Bond himself

3. Top with soda water

4. Strain into a well-chilled martini glass

5. Zest and garnish with a lemon twist
