This charming Cornish cottage is tucked away in the oldest part of Padstow – ideal if you’re after a taste of heritage just a stroll from the busy main town. Wake up to the morning light pouring through your window, make a pot of tea in the chirpy kitchen, abandon your plans and just laze about under the original beams. And if you’re lucky enough to be greeted by sunshine, pull out a chair and soak up the rays in your own secluded, south-facing garden and patio with woodland views.Accessibility
ACCESS: Access is gained straight from Church Lane, 1 step up then 1 step down through a door into a large porch with a slate floor. In here there is a downstairs WC with basin and a door leading out to the garden.
GROUND FLOOR: From the porch is a door leading 1 step up then 1 step down into the kitchen/diner with 1 further step down leading into the sitting room with slate floor, coal effect gas fire, sofa and stair gates (top and bottom of stairs).
FIRST FLOOR: 12 steps lead upstairs to a double bedroom (4ft 6” bed) with stripped pine floor and 1 more step up to a bunk bedroom (3ft beds) and bathroom with bath and electric shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail.
OUTSIDE ACCESS: From the hallway/porch area is a door with 1 small step down onto a patio area with table and chairs. There are then 4 steps up onto the lawn with a path which leads to a further patio area at the back of the garden, the path also has 2 steps down to a shed (not for guests use).
HEATING: Via gas boiler – the boiler is in the bathroom and there is a thermostat on the landing by the bathroom, there is also a gas fire in the living room.
BABIES EQUIPMENT: There is a high chair kept under the stairs. No cots are provided but can be hired. There is also a stair gate at the top and bottom of the stairs (pull out roller blind style).
