Happening twice each year to celebrate Cornwall’s finest spring and summer bounty, the one-day Bude Food Festival fills this iconic coastal town with the smell of sizzling street food, sweet treats and local tipples. Tuck into locally reared sausages, fresh bakes and stock up on gourmet dog snacks for your four-legged friend. Set against the backdrop of Budes castle and beaches, its perfect for loading up your picnic basket for days in the waves or a stomp along the coast.

The Porthleven Food Festival is arguably Cornwall’s biggest and best food festival, kicking off the season in style with three days of top-tier chef demos, dancing and street food. Local chef Jude Kereama curates a brilliant culinary line-up, alongside a music smorgasbord (think Britpop to sea shanties) to keep the atmosphere lively, and a wellness zone to spread those feel-good vibes. Think music, mindfulness and mackerel rolls – all wrapped up with sunset vibes and a giant paella by the sea.

15–17 May 2026, Porthminster Beach, St Ives

Chef demos, artisan stalls, and a big helping of beachfront energy make the St Ives Food & Drink Festival one of Cornwalls most iconic foodie events. Grab a crab taco, paddle in turquoise waters, and watch the chefs in action – last year including Padstows own Ross Geach. It’s free by day, but youll want to snap up tickets for the Sunset Sessions, which lift the celebrations up a notch with live bands and DJ sessions.

The four-day Falmouth Food Festival blends cracking Cornish street food with Falmouths creative spirit. Local makers, live music and a buzzing harbourfront vibe set the tone for a long weekend of culture and cuisine by the sea. No wonder its fast becoming one of the West Countrys biggest foodie weekends.

Launched in 2025 from the team behind Falmouth and Penzance Food Festivals, the Newquay Food Festival brings big flavours, artisan stalls and live-fire cooking to Newquays coastal green. Expect live music, a lively showcase of the towns tastemakers, and a real sense of community. Its a brilliant way to get under the skin of Newquay, all in one delicious long weekend.

Part gourmet weekend, part summer music festival, the family-friendly Rock Oyster Festival is right on our doorstep and our favourite summer party. Just across the estuary from Padstow, it brings big names and big flavours to our neighbourhood – with Scissor Sisters and Groove Armada on stage this year, alongside Raymond Blanc and Nathan Outlaw in the kitchen. Shuck oysters, sip champagne, learn to forage, or spa your way through the weekend. Theres silly Olympics and circus workshops, too.
