Our Favourite Cafés in and Around Padstow

From cream tea with a view to buzzy bistros and cosy hangouts, Padstow and its surrounds are packed with cool cafés.
Light bite or lavish cream tea? Padstow might be famous for fine dining, but when it comes to coffee stops, hearty breakfasts, and cake-fuelled strolls, our harbour town has plenty to tempt you. So whether you’re craving brunch with a view or the best bakes in town, here are our favourite cafés in and around Padstow.
Cherry Trees, Padstow

Best for: Homemade cake beside the harbour.
Whether you’re back from a boat trip or moseying around the harbour, follow the sweet scent of baking to our favourite coffee house just footsteps from Harbour Holidays HQ. Brunch runs until 4pm, there’s a dreamy selection of cakes, and the Cornish cream teas are top-notch. If there are no tables or you’ve got a dog in tow, pop around the corner to its sister café, Cherry Blossom.
Ben’s Crib Box Café, Padstow

Best for: Breakfast baps before hitting the beach or the Camel Trail.
A colourful shack on the quayside, Ben’s Cribbox is where the locals head for friendly chat, estuary views, and great-value bites from bacon-loaded baps to indulgent hot chocolates. The ‘Meaty B’ burrito is legendary – perfect pre-hike fuel if you’re tackling the coast path or the Camel Trail.
Tim’s Place, Wadebridge

From fresh bakes to a Full Cornish to start the day, head to Tim’s Place. Image courtesy of Tim’s Place.
Best for: Locally sourced café food with an upmarket bistro-style edge.
Our go-to in neighbouring Wadebridge is Tim’s Place – opened by Tim when he was just 18 years old, and now a buzzy little café-cum-bistro in the heart of town. The window stacked with cakes and scones will lure you in, but there’s plenty more than homemade bakes and Chough Bakery sourdough. Think Full Cornish, Eggs Benedict, or salmon and avocado – and that’s just for breakfast.
The Cornish Cove, Port Isaac

Best for: Cornish cream tea in a cosy coastal setting.
For a proper Cornish cream tea with a side of coastal drama, this cosy tearoom is just steps from Port Isaac’s harbour. Homemade cakes, finger sandwiches, and plenty of old-school charm – all served against the backdrop of Doc Martin and Fisherman’s Friends filming locations.
Greens of Padstow, Padstow

Coffee’s on, and your favourite breakfast is waiting. Image courtesy of Greens.
Best for: Breakfast with estuary views and mini golf.
More than a café, Greens is well known for its sea-view dining in Padstow. However, it’s also a cracking spot for hearty breakfasts, and coffee and cake with a sublime backdrop. We’d recommend the homemade granola with Greek yoghurt and berry compote, or French toast with locally smoked bacon and maple syrup. What’s more, there’s a mini golf course to keep kids entertained – leaving you free to soak up the estuary views in peace.
Trevisker’s Kitchen, nr Padstow

Best for: Brunch in a boutique garden centre tucked outside town.
Part garden centre, part foodie heaven, Treviskers is somewhat of a local secret just outside Padstow. Expect big breakfasts, towering pancake stacks, and Cornish coffee, all made with the best local ingredients. A favourite for hungry families and brunch lovers alike.
Rest A While Tea Garden, Hawker’s Cove

Rest-a-while on the coast path with just-baked scones.
Best for: Just-baked scones served in the garden.
Tiny, rustic, and utterly charming, this outdoor-only tea garden serves just-out-of-the-oven scones with jaw-dropping sea views. Perfect for a pit stop if you’re walking the coast path to Stepper Point. There’s even vegan and savoury cream tea options. All very idyllic – except on rainy days, as opening hours are weather dependent.
Strong Adolfos, Hawkesfield, Wadebridge

Best for: Cool surfer vibes and global cuisine.
Whether you’ve been getting sandy-toed on the seven bays of St Merryn, or are following the quiver-topped campervans along Cornwall’s Atlantic Highway, this trendy roadside café is a pitstop worth making. Cool biker-meets-surfer vibes aside, expect global flavours and local ingredients, with kimchi mushroom toast, Mexicano brioche, and Swedish-style sweet treats alongside excellent coffee.
Trevone Beach Café & Bruno’s Bar, Trevone

Snacks are served sun-up to sundown at Trevone. Image courtesy of Bruno’s, Trevone.
Best for: Wave-side lounging from sun-up to sundown.
Steps from the sand at Trevone Bay, this beachside café is perfect for lazy seaside days. Drop in for coffee and cake or book a table for sundowners and sharing boards. In summer, live music and seasonal platters bring a buzz that rolls on after dark.
