Dog Friendly Holidays in North Cornwall

Here at Harbour Holidays we believe that all members of the family should be entitled to an enjoyable holiday – and that includes our four-legged friends.

Cornwall is such a wonderful destination, it would be a shame to leave the family pooch at home. That’s why many of our holiday properties in and around Padstow are pet friendly. These self catering holiday homes offer some great opportunities for memorable dog friendly holidays in North Cornwall.

Walkies on the Beach

There’s nothing better than taking the dog for a walk on a wide-open beach, with sand between your toes and waves lapping on the shore. If you live in a city or landlocked village, you and your dog will enjoy the freedom and range of Cornish beaches, coastal footpaths and countryside trails. You will never get tired of the stunning scenery on your dog friendly holiday on the coast near Padstow. Not all beaches allow dogs, so it’s worth checking in advance if there are restrictions in place at beaches near your preferred holiday accommodation.

Cornwall for Dogs

But why restrict your holiday adventures to just beach and countryside walks? There are many Cornish attractions which allow dogs on leads so there’s no need to leave your beloved canine at your holiday cottage when you leave for a day out. Top dog-friendly tourist attractions in Cornwall include the Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Healey’s Cornish Cyder Farm, Lanhydrock, Lappa Valley and Tintagel Castle. Closer to Padstow, well behaved dogs can also visit Prideaux Place, Pencarrow and also go for a walk along the Camel Trail.

Dogs Welcome

The beauty of hiring a holiday home is that you can prepare your own meals. But just because you bring a dog on holiday doesn’t mean you shouldn’t eat out. There are loads of pubs, cafés and restaurants that welcome dogs. These include The Shipwrights pub and Rick Stein’s St Petroc’s Bistro in Padstow, The Cornish Arms in St Merryn, Relish in Wadebridge and the Beach Hut at Watergate Bay.
