Set just off the main street in Padstow, yet tucked away from the crowds, 2 Oak Terrace is your harbourside sanctuary. Fire up the range in the large kitchen diner, while you head for a moment of calm in the south-facing front garden. Step along the winding path that leads from your front garden down to the town centre and its treasure trove of independent boutiques and top-notch restaurants.
And when you’ve had your fill head back to spark up the log burner, warming toes and paws after long days of adventuring. At 2 Oak Terrace, you’ll see a whole new side to Padstow…
ACCESS: Access to 2 Oak Terrace is gained from St Saviours Lane. From here there is a sloping foot path which leads from a private gate to Oak Terrace. Number 2 is the middle house along the path at the back of the houses. There are 7 slate steps down onto a slate courtyard with access to the back doors. Care should be taken on slate in wet weather as it can be greasy.
GROUND FLOOR: 1 step down through the French doors takes you into the kitchen/dining room which leads into the utility room and then 2 steps up to the shower room with shower, washbasin and WC. A door from the utility room leads directly over a threshold out to the courtyard. From the hallway the front door opens onto 4 steps down to a paved seating area and front garden.
FIRST FLOOR: There are 11 stairs from the hallway to the first floor with a kingsized master bedroom ( 6ft ) bed and a bunk bedroom ( 3ft bed ). There is access from the landing and also the master bedroom into the family bathroom with bath, separate shower, washbasin and WC.
SECOND FLOOR: There are 11 stairs to the top floor and, as these are quite steep, care should be taken. They are not recommended for very young children, the elderly or infirm. On the top floor there is a twin room with 2 single beds ( 3ft bed ) and a bedroom with a double bed 4’ 6” bed ) with access from one side of the bed only (to sleep 1 or 2 adults, depending on choice!). Both the twin and the double bedroom have one slightly sloping eave. The bathroom with shower, washbasin and WC is accessed directly from either bedroom.
OUTSIDE ACCESS: The sloping path continues past the side of the terrace where you turn left across the front of 1 Oak Terrace to gain access to the front door and tiered garden. There is a slate paved patio area across the front of the house with table and seating. There are 4 steps up to the front door. The mature garden is tiered into 3 lawned areas and a slate paved seating area, with small steps in between each level.
Between the gardens of 1 Oak Terrace and 2 Oak Terrace, and along the west side of the garden of 1 Oak Terrace, are narrow paths leading down to Old Town down 9 concrete steps, left along a path and down another 12 concrete steps, through a private gate and down a further 3 steps onto the pavement of Duke Street. (These paths are uneven in places and quite narrow so please take care, especially in the dark ? torches are provided in the house).
HEATING: The property has central heating throughout and the heating can be controlled via the radiators by turning up and down. There is also a wood burner in the living room (please bring your own logs for the fire).
BABIES EQUIPMENT: No equipment is provided but can be hired.
The garden is fenced to provide more privacy.
The nearest payphone is outside the Custom House in Padstow. The nearest bus stop is at the bottom of Station Road, next to the Council car park.

Tuck under the garden archway for breakfast on the lawn. Throw off your walking boots, grab some logs and plump down infront of the roaring wood burner. Settle into the bedroom window seat and watch clouds flame red as the sun sets. 2 The Court brings the best out of Cottage living.
